I was tagged over a week ago to do this by Brittany over at the Beauty Deputy, so here goes. Please excuse some of the bad quality photos, I struggled with lighting. I also won’y be tagging anyone to do this as I am quite late to the party, but if anyone wants to do it, please let me know. Alternatively if you have done this tag already, link me in the comments so I can read yours. P.S I know half my photos are watermarked, half aren’t. I used to watermark, but I stopped doing it recently, so the older ones are watermarked.
I love this primer. It applies so smoothly onto my skin, smells great and actually helps with my skin tone. I know it isn’t mean to, but it has a slight tint that I find balances my skin tone out. This also does a great job at keeping foundation in place. Oh did I mention it minimises pores too?
BareMinerals Original SPF15 Foundation in Medium Beige
I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this yet! The pictures are sitting uploaded and waiting. This is my all time favourite foundation. It doesn’t look cakey and can be built up for more coverage where needed. This also doesn’t clog pores and is so ‘good’ you can sleep in it. I’ve gone through countless tubs of this and always have a backup in my stash.
This is brilliant for under eyes. It doesn’t have as much coverage as Boing, but is very hydrating. I got this in medium and it is a tad dark for under eyes, but it blends so well. I love this so much and will definitely re purchase.
BareMinerals Original Mineral Veil
Again I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this. You can probably tell I am a massive BM fan and have gone through so many tubs of this. It is awesome for setting makeup and I even have the ready one for on the go touch ups. The powder is so light and fine milled and doesn’t cling to dry patches.
Not technically a bronzer, but a golden toned highlighter but I have been using this in place of my trusty BareMinerals Faux Tan bronzer which ran out over the summer. I like the subtle glow this gives me.
So it seems Benefit and BareMinerals are sweeping the board here. I suppose that’s testimony to how great they are, but I really need to try Nars, Mac, Elf, Sleek and MUA. 2014 will be the year of trying. I like this blush because it is so easy to apply and gives a nice healthy glow. It is a shame it doesn’t last longer, but a great little product none the less. I was initially scared about how bright it looked, but it blends well.
Laura Geller Baked Highlighter in French Vanilla
This pale toned offering from Laura Geller is great for the brow bone. I don’t like it so much on my cheek bones, but my Fine One One takes care of that. This is a powder, but applies well and blends easily. I think this has the perfect amount of shimmer.
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in Black
This isn’t black, it is dark brown. I have very thick, bushy and dark eyebrows so don’t really need brow products. I have had this for years and use it when I decided to change my brow shape. I also have a tiny bald patch on one end, so will occasionally use this to fill it in. It doesn’t snag the skin and is really easy to apply.
9. Eyeshadow Palette
I love this and how versatile it is. The shadows are well pigmented and apply so smoothly. It covers all the bases for neutral eyes from line to highlight to crease. Well worth the investment.
Bodyshop Eye Definer in Black
I’ve gone through one of these already and will probably finish this one too. I don’t often wear eyeliner, but when I do it is either black, dark brown or grey and more often than not I reach for this. I picked this up in the sale and I am glad I did. It is really creamy and wears really well.
Givenchy Noir Couture
I got a sample of this in Debenhams and I love it. Maybe even more than Benefit Bad Gal. It doesn’t clump, wears well and lengthens my lashes. What more do you want?
12. Lip Pencil
Urban Decay Super Saturated in Lovechild
Okay this might be cheating, but it is a pencil and does go on your lips right? Super creamy, pigmented and a suits all shade. Loving this latest addition to my stash from UD.
Initially I wasn’t that taken with this, but after using it over the top of a balm, I like the colour and staying power much better. And it was half price.
Philosophy The Gingerbread Man
This had lain in my stash for ages, being neglected but I rediscovered it. I love the high gloss shine and the ginger smell. Mmm.
Not technically a subscription box, but sold by a company who make subscription boxes. I loved most of the products and it was amazing value for money. Highly recommend this next year.
Giorgio Armani Remix for Her
This has been a favourite of mine for a few years and I really like the stylish bottle. It smells fresh and I always get compliments when wearing it. My bottle was too bashed up to photograph.
17. Lip Balm
L’Occitaine Lip Balm
This is really hydrating and makes a great base for lipstick. I am almost finished this tube, so will have to stock up.
18. Eyeshadow Brush
Virgin Vie Eyes
Yup, Viggin Vie. I have had this for donkeys and it has been washed countless times and it still going strong. It is still soft and fluffy and picks up just the right amount of shadow. Shame they went bust.
I know the descriptions are short, but I didn’t want the post to become too long. If you want any of these reviewed in detail, just let me know.
What are your favourite products? Have you tried any of my favourites?
