International Box Swap Item 1 | EOS Lip Balms

EOS Lip Balms|thelittlscottishcorner

It’s been an absolute age since I blogged and I’ve really missed it. I was working loads of hours and just couldn’t face it. Some nights I didn’t get home until after midnight and would be back in at 8 the next morning, so finding time was difficult. I also had a little spell of feeling unwell, so figured a break would do me good. Anyway, it’s our compulsory 2 week holiday now, so I am going to enjoy blogging, nail painting and maybe a bit of cycling if my bike gets fixed today. I should probably get out of my pyjamas and take it to the bike store, but blogging is way more fun! I’m starting off with a short post today, so I can get back into things.

What better way to start off than with one of my box swap items from Brittany from the beauty deputy! If you want to see my full box swap, you can find the post here. I still haven’t finished all the food she sent me yet. I was super excited when I opened the box and discovered not 1, but 2 EOS lip balms. These aren’t the cheapest lip balms in the UK and I had always wanted to try them, but the price and the fact I could only find them online put me off. I’ve been using both of these everyday since I got them and they are a firm favourite in my stash. I must say that the passionfruit is definitely my favourite of the two.

Out of the packet

The packaging of these is really odd, but eye catching. The balm comes housed in a small plastic ball in a colour relevant to the scent or flavour. The plastic is that matte rubberised stuff, which is my only complaint as it does collect dirt, dust and loose makeup in your bag. You can wipe it pretty easily though, so no biggie. I absolutely hated the blister pack these came in – it initially looked pretty, but I broke a nail getting them out of the really tight packaging. It did look pretty though didn’t it? The way they had designed the packaging to look like the lip balms were flowers. Very cute.

The ball shape initially scared me, but it works well

Packaging aside, lets talk lip balms. These are fantastic. The smell is not too powerful – personally the passion fruit is my favourite of the two and the taste isn’t strong either. Once applied to the lips, these don’t leave you feeling greasy and nor do they dry my lips out. I find that these pack a good hit of moisture for around 3-4 hours and the design makes them super quick and easy to apply.

Told you it would be a quick one today 🙂 I just want to say a massive thank you once again to Brittany for sending me these and you should look out for more posts with mybox swap items in the coming weeks.

I really want some more EOS in my life, so what flavours can you recommend? Has anyone tried Balmi as they look similar?

  2. Nice to see you back blogging, I’ve missed your posts. I would love to try these lip balms, but totally can’t justify the price, especially considering I have a full draw of lip balms to use in my makeup storage. I’m happy you’ve got to try them and enjoy them. Enjoy your time off work! xxx

    • The past 2/3 months have just been really difficult to blog, but I’m hoping my new department will be more reasonable hours again so I can get into blogging. The lip balms really are worth it, probably the best I have tried. I was the same with the price, but now I wouldn’t bat an eyelid at it. Let me know if you do end up trying xx

  3. Aww I’m so glad you liked them. You make me want to try the passionfruit one. Glad that you’re feeling better. That is a lot of working so that is good that you have 2 weeks off. Hope you enjoy them! 🙂
